Apple Pomace Pellet
Apple Pomace is the residual material from pressing apples for juice containing the pulp, peels, and core. It is a low protein, high fiber feed which is very digestible and palatable. Also in view of the antioxidant property of pomace, it would play an important role in prevention of diseases: in order for ruminant cows to preserve a superior rumen condition, our apple pomace pellet can be an essential element for their finer health. Active ruminal microorganisms maintain appropriate pH level and rumen fermentation, keeps the animal healthier:
• Allow rumen microflora to synthesis amino acids from urea for increased nitrogen retention
• Aids in the digestion of cellulse; allows the ruminant to utilize large amounts of roughage, to enhances cellulolytic bacteria in rumen)
• Over-all health of the animal is maintained through proper nutrition. Therefore, milk yield and butterfat are increased; and a firm, tender, flavorful meat is produced with excellent marbling, and little waste cover fat.
Apple Pomace Pellet has high amount of pectin which rumen bacteria can use it to produce acetate by fernentation. This leads to maintain acetate to propionate ratio and percentage of milk fat.
Add Apple Pomace Pellet as part of diets in dairy cows will increase milk protein, due to its high available energy of apple pomace.
Apple Pomace Pellet is also used to feed together with roughage or mixed ratio feeds to increase the total nutrition and fiber intake, to balance the necessary dietary requirements of the rumen animals.
